Do you care for a loved one with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, or related dementia?
Join us for Caregiving Essentials! It is a dynamic workshop for family caregivers and is completely complimentary. You will learn evidence-based tips of the trade regarding what you can expect as the disease progresses, prepare yourself for the cognitive, behavioural, and functional changes associated with dementia over the course of 3 stages, learn how to communicate effectively with cognitively impaired patients, and develop strategies for managing resistance to care and challenging behaviors.
This class is taught by David Hart, Ph.D. – a trained psychotherapist with over a decade of training and experience in memory care.
